About Austin’s Bat Fest

Watch 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats fly into the night as you enjoy live music, great local food, and fun festivities for the family. Bat Fest will include performances from 17 musical artists, including Cypress Hill. Of course, Bat Fest wouldn’t be complete without some bat-themed activities, including a bat costume contest. Both children and adults are encouraged to get creative with their bat costumes in the hopes of leaving with the prize for best costume. Best children’s costume scores $100, as does the winner for best adult costume.
